Salary: $56,411.84 - $61,032.45
Annually w/ Overtime
Dependent upon experience and education. Annual pay calculation based on average 112-hour pay period; overtime is not guaranteed.

Recruit Salary: $51,997
(No fire or emergency medical certification or experience required.)
Up to $15,000.00 Sign-On Bonus for Certified

Certified with at least ONE YEAR of experience: $10,000. (PAID IN 2 INSTALLMENTS: $5,000 paid in the first check and $5,000 after one year.)

Certified with at least THREE YEARS of experience: $15,000
(PAID IN 3 INSTALLMENTS:

$5,000 paid on the same date as the employee's first paycheck.

Additional $5,000 paid upon completion of introductory period, including extensions, but no earlier than one year from date of hire.

Final $5,000 paid upon completion of two years from date of hire.)

Minimum Requirements: Minimum requirements require Firefighter candidates to be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma (or GED equivalent), possess a valid Georgia Class C driver’s license, and hold a current NPQ I Certified Firefighter or IFSTC Certified Firefighter and current AEMT, EMT-I or Paramedic Certificate.

Job Training Opportunities: All members of our Fire Division are, first and foremost, firefighters trained and certified as EMTs or Paramedics. Many also receive advanced training and certifications and serve on one of our specialty teams in addition to being part of one of our two primary divisions, suppression and prevention.
